For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth. - 3 John 1:3
This is my first morning with N. T. Wright's commentary Early Christian Letters for Everyone. I decided to start with the shortest book in the Bible and work my way backwards. This book, John wrote to one specific person. There seems to be a dispute going on, but he is encouraging Gaius because he is walking in truth. I decided to pull this part out because this is what I hope God says about me one day, that he has witnessed me walking faithful in truth.
I decided to try my hand at watercolor again. I started with page prep with gesso to be sure the page took the watercolor ok. I got a bit too much water on it at first, but then I remembered that I could just dab it off. I put two separate layers of color. For my second time, I'm happy with how it turned out. I love the amount of color but that you can still read the passage. After the color, I tried free hand lettering for the first time with brush pens.
