VIP or a Very Important Person is someone who gets the best treatment when they go someone. Someone like a movie star or the president. We role out the red carpets and get our camera out for them.
What if we have Very Intenential Preparation (VIP) for those whom God seeking and going to send to our church.
Read Luke 15:1-7.
Why would a shepherd leave his 99 sheep to go looking for 1?
How would you feel if you were in the 99 sheep?
How would you feel if you were the 1?
What can We do to make someone feel as important as the 1 who was lost?
Read Luke 15:8-10.
- Image the joy you would feel if you had found your lost coin?
- Who would you have called to tell the good news to?
- Who could we seek with the same determination to bring to church next week as the woman sought her coin?
Read Acts 8:29-39.
How do you think Philip felt walking up to a stranger's carriage?
How did God use Philip's obedience to interact with the eunuch?
What can the story of Philip and the eunuch teach us today about seeking people to bring to God?
Act it Out
This week, ask God to show you, someone, you can personally invite to church next Sunday. Be bold like Philip. Seek them out with determination just as the woman sought her coin. Treat with as a VIP and prepare for them as a VIP.
