Philip shared this morning that Grace has three stages in our life.
Woo (prevenient grace): When the Holy Spirit is pulling you towards God, showing you that God wants a relationship with you and loves you.
Whoa (justifying grace): When the Holy Spirit shows you the sin in your life but also shows you that Christ has redeemed you already for those sins, all you must do is accept his love.
Wow (sanctifying grace): When the Holy Spirit turns us into the person God created us to be, Holy in God's eyes and we experience a full relationship with God.
Only through God's grace can we be forgiven for the things we have done and will do wrong in our lives. Likewise, just through grace can we have the relationship with God that he created us to have. God needs us to do our part though.
That's what we've been talking about over the past five days. When we pray and focus on God, we are doing our part. We are thanking him for his grace and work in our lives, and we are making more room for the Holy Spirit to work.
Polly Schambeau's testimony this morning about how she deepened her prayer life and her appreciation for who God is will touch you. Take a moment to listen to it.
