Think of that frame that Jesus said to Lazarus after he came out of his grave, "take off the grave clothes" or "untie him and let him go." Lazarus had just be raised from the dead, but if he hadn't been set free from the clothes that were identifying him as someone who had died, he never could have moved on from the death he had esacaped.
Lazarus was bound from his head to his feet with the wrappings of someone who had left this earth, yet he has been brought back. He had a choice. He could continue to live, one foot in the grave, or he could fully embrace the new life he had.
Lazarus needed other's help though if he was going to embrace this new life and remove the marks of his death. Many times, we need help if we are going to embrace the changes that God has in store for us.
Don't be afraid to embrace what God has in store for you, just because you need some help doing it.
Ralph Johnson shared his story this morning of how God has worked in his life. Take a few moments to listen.
