Psalm 100

1 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.
2     Worship the Lord with gladness;
    come into his presence with singing.

3 Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he that made us, and we are his;
    we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
    and his courts with praise.
    Give thanks to him, bless his name.

5 For the Lord is good;
    his steadfast love endures forever,
    and his faithfulness to all generations.

--Psalm 100

This is the first page that I did in my Bible. "Enter his gates with Thanksgiving." That has to be one of the most famous phrases from the Psalms. That's why I decided to illustrate it here. When I picture scriptures coming to life, this is the first thing that came to my mind.

My Technique:

I used colored pencils and an image that I traced into the Bible. It took me a little while to get the image the size it needed to be for the page. After I did the gate, I also traced in the words of the verse as well. These pencils aren't anything fancy, but for my first page, I was happy for how it came out.
