I read on Facebook this morning, a friend comment that anyone who is 20 years old or younger will not remember the terrorist attack that happened September 11, 2001. It is hard to believe that much time has passed. For most of us, the events of that day and what we were doing is still very present in our minds.
As Christians, it important to remember that we are not to be afraid, for God is standing up for us. At times it can feel as if God is not standing with us at all, but he is. At the same time, God does not control people’s actions. He is not responsible for the hate and death in our world. What is important is that we as Christians break the cycle of hate and turn it into a cycle of love.
Today, as you remember those who died on this day in 2001, and those who have died protecting our country, I encourage you to seek someone out to show love too, in honor of their sacrifice.
